The weather in Bournemouth can still be in the mid to high teens throughout October, so there is a pretty good chance of spending time on the beach – building sandcastles and playing beach games, and the Coastal Activity Park have some organised activities for half-term.

Rock Reef Activity Centre
Rock Reef has ‘Fun Climb’, a climbing wall, ‘Pier Cave’, full of twists and turns, grottos and ball pits an ‘Hi-line’ an indoor aerial obstacle course. Located inside the old Pier Theatre on Bournemouth Pier, Rock Reef is a great day out whatever the weather.
Hengistbury Head has a wonderful visitor centre with free entry. Their half-term activities include Crafty Owl lantern making and a self-guided Halloween Trail.
