A Grade II listed venue in the heart of Bournemouth, right opposite the seafront. The Pavilion Theatre Bournemouth was built in the 1920s with classic art deco design and elegant styling.
The theatre seats approximately 1500, and there is also a very impressive ballroom and a variety of smaller rooms. The Pavilion Theatre Bournemouth is host to West End shows, Opera, Ballet, Comedy and live music. It is also host to a number of corporate presentations, conferences and dinners. The Christmas pantomime is always hugely popular. The Pavilion is also home to Pavilion Dance, Bournemouth’s national dance house which offers dance classes and performances, and the Terrace Bistro serves coffees, snacks and light meals.
It is also home to the world famous Compton Organ. The Organ was installed in 1929 for the opening of The Pavilion. After years of neglect it has been restored to its former glory and is now lovingly maintained by a group of volunteers.
